In this video, I make some of my Dale Creek Ring Fries in Chartreuse Pepper. The Lake Fork Tackle Ring Fry was the creation by my friend and Lake Fork Legend Mark Pack. It’s been almost since we lost Mark to Covid Pneumonia, this video is in the memory of my friend. The Lake Fork Tackle Ring Fry was perhaps the hottest bait on Lake Fork in 1990’s and early 2000’s. Lake Fork Tackle was perhaps best soft plastic made for the Carolina Rig. I searched on-line and found a ring fry mold. Close to it, but not as fat and ridges aren’t as deep as the original Lake Fork Tackle Ring Fry.
I searched internet for months looking for a mold like this one. In this video I make Watermelon Candy worms in my new molds, Lil’ Caney Slashers Worms. I making limited runs of these and others. If I can match the color you need and have a mold what you are looking contact me:
IN THIS VIDEO I GIVE AN UPDATE ON MY HEALTH AND THE CHANNEL. About a month and a half, I booked a guide to trip to fish Toledo Bend, about 2.5 hour into the trip I had to stop because I had once of the worst A-Fib attacks I have ever had. I am currently does tests with my cardiologist. I hope to get back to fishing soon.
MAKING YOUR OWN SOFT PLASTICS – WATERMELON CANDY BLUE
After talking to a few Lake Fork Guide Friends both telling me that they were coloring & dripping their soft plastics in Blue instead of Chartreuse to get more bites, I decided to make the very popular Watermelon Candy with Blue Flakes added to it.
In this video, I try to find the recipe using MF Coolants to Zoom’s Watermelon Candy. Zoom’s Watermelon Candy is a very good color for Soft Plastics year round on Lake Fork. Zoom’s Watermelon Candy is a unique color to other Soft Plastics brand’s Watermelon Candy, Zoom’s is less Green and more of a caramel color.
