This is my After Action Report for the 2021 Bass Champs Mega Bass Tournament. 1700 boats fished the tournament and it took a 15.4 lbs Bass to take home the Skeeter Bass Boat. We caught fish but none that was the right weight to take home a check this time. See you next year!!
This is my Lake Fork Fishing Report for 03-20-21 This week was a mix bag fishing wise, early in the week they were crushing them, with a lot of Big Bass being caught on White Chatterbaits, swimbaits and V&M Chopsticks. Rain & Gale Force winds blow in on Tuesday Nights made Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. The fishing was better on Saturday as the high winds finally died down.
Lake Fork and North East Texas was hit by a severe Winter Storm crippling the area. Freezing the Lake solid in the shallow parts of the Lake. Water Temperatures plummeted over 20 degrees, putting the bass in shock. The fishing has brutal the last few days. The best chance to putting fish in the boat is going deep with a jigging spoon. The best is one of Roy Greer’s Spoon.
I wasn’t able to fish this week. But, when talking to some Lake Fork Guides and others who did fish. It was hit and miss at best. The people that were catching them were catching good fish and the others were having brutal weeks. It seems the bite has moved deeper with the cooler temperatures. Best around 12-15 ft of water.
